What is Freeze-Dried Fruit?
Freeze-dried fruit is 100% real fruit with the water removed through
a special, gentle process. It retains its original flavor, color, and nearly
all nutrients. It becomes a light, crispy snack without added sugar or
preservatives.
The 3-Step Process (Lyophilization)
This gentle process turns the fruit's water into vapor, stabilizing the
fruit for long storage.
1. Freezing
Fresh fruit is flash-frozen solid at very low temperatures, turning all
internal water into ice.
2. Primary Drying (Sublimation)
Click here to type some the frozen fruit goes into a vacuum chamber. Low pressure and slight heat cause the ice to turn directly into water vapor, which is then removed.
3. Secondary Drying
The final, deep vacuum stage removes the last traces of moisture.
The fruit becomes perfectly dry, lightweight, and crisp, ready for
packaging.
